Jodi & Dan celebrate their marriage at The Molineux Stadium – 20th July 2018

It's one of the hottest summers I can remember since I began starting to film weddings in 2006. And 20th July was no different. Blazing hot sun in the morning but thankfully cooler weather in the afternoon. Perfect for wedding videography and photography.

Dan and Jodi married at St. Nicholas Church in Codsall, Wolverhampton at 2pm but my day started with videoing Jodi and the bridesmaids at her mum's house in Perton near Wolverhampton. I arrived at 9am and with plenty of time available I filmed some great footage of the girls getting ready as well as Jodi's wedding dress, shoes, flowers and jewellery.

As the wedding was due to kick off at 2pm I arrived an hour earlier so that I could not only liaise with the church but also get some great video footage of the inside and outside of the church.

St. Nicholas is a fantastic church but I was restricted to camera placements, yet was allowed an unmanned camera discreetly situated behind the pulpit with myself placed at the back of the church with the main camera. Usually I prefer to be in a different position but I always adhere to a venues rules on where I'm allowed to stand.

After the marriage ceremony the photographer Adam, and myself got some great shots of the guests and happy couple outside the church with the confetti throwing at the foot of the steps of the church.

Then the bridal party moved on to West Park in Wolverhampton City Centre for some shots of the Bridesmaids, Best Man, Ushers and close family.

After this we all took a short journey on to The Molineux Stadium, home to Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. Jodi and Dan were allowed unprecedented access to the new changing rooms. And even onto the pitch itself for more photos and filming. They are loyal wolves fans and showed Adam and myself where their season ticket seats are in the stands. After some very entertaining speeches. Which I filmed with two cameras. A surprise guest turned up - no other than Stevie Bull himself. This delighted the happy couple and I feel made their day more than complete! He posed for photos with the couple and guests who really knew how to celebrate in his company.

Jodi and Dan cut their wedding cake just before their first dance which again I filmed with two cameras. Then the evening party ensued which I covered until around 10pm with a mixture of static and roaming camera work before I left. Once I got home I then had to offload the footage and prep the cameras for the next days filming! But that's another story! All part of being a busy midlands wedding videographer!
