Dudley in the West Midlands has such a rich heritage. Dig back into its history and you’ll find a wealth of historical buildings and stories that shine a light on this area of the Black Country.

And many of these buildings are still used today for hosting wedding day ceremonies or wedding receptions. Let's focus on a few of my favorites for best photos and stunning videos.

Take the Priory Ruins near the town center. This is a fantastic place for a professional to take couples for some groups or intimate couple shots. Especially as it’s right next to Dudley Registry Office.

Himley Park is the home of Himley Hall, the principal home of Humble Ward who was the son of the jeweller to the court of King Charles I. A great Palladian Moated Manor House where you can now get married and enjoy the rich history of the building and the park grounds. A beautiful place for Videography and tells a wonderful story of its own history.

And if you’re looking for a secluded, intimate venue, look at Blakelands Country House. Situated in Bobbington in the South Staffordshire countryside, this building dates back to 1722. Surrounded by walled gardens, paddocks, and orchards. It even has its own lake. Ideal for some fantastic imagery.

Dudley and its surrounding areas such as Stourbridge, Sedgley and Kidderminster have a wealth of popular venues for couples to choose from. I just adore Hagley Hall. The ancestral home of the Lyttelton family. Built by George, who was for a time Chancellor of the Exchequer. Next to St John the Baptist Church. Perfect for both photos and videos.

Also in Stourbridge, close to Kinver, is Dunsley Hall. A beautiful venue which I love filming.

A few miles up the road there is also The Granary Hotel and round the corner - The Stone Manor. Both are excellent local wedding venues to film at.

And let’s not forget the city of Wolverhampton. So many flash places to get hitched, such as The Molineux. Here you can hold your reception and speeches. And I’ve filmed many weddings in other places, such as Pendrell Hall or Patshull Park Hotel.

So, if you’re getting married near me in Dudley, Kingswinford, Kinver, Wombourne, Stourbridge or Wolverhampton and are interested in having it filmed, give this Dudley Wedding Videographer and Photographer a call to discuss how I would video or photograph your big day.
